The Flywheel Motor/Generator Constant Motion Machine
A Flywheel or gyroscope device may be able to be constructed and oriented to extract usable energy from the Earth's movement in space. The "Foucault pendulum", found at the London Science Museum, at the Smithsonian, and other museums, proves the rotation of the Earth. It uses a large weight which swings on a swivel in a straight line while the Earth rotates under it. The idea behind the Flywheel Motor/Generator is to capture the movement of the Earth and convert it into a usable energy source. This source of energy would not pollute and the supply would last for a very long time.
The orientation of the device could be such that the flywheel device would resist the Earth's movement on a latitudinal plane. The orientation of the flywheel is important to limit axis involvement. Limiting the involvement of the axis is advantageous in that it simplifies the engineering, construction, and operation of this Planetary Motion Flywheel Device. A flywheel that does not move along with the rotation of the Earth would be limited by the distance it could travel on the latitude on which it was oriented. A two flywheel system would allow for limitations in horizontal distance. The two flywheel system would operated by having both flywheels able to gain rotational speed on the flywheel utilizing transmission mechanisms to convert the horizontal motion into flywheel rotational speed. The following is an explanation to illustrate the operation of a two flywheel system. The angular moments and forces acting on the flywheel as the flywheel resist the movement of the Earth having being considered, and gimbal requirements met, the two flywheel system would consist of two flywheel systems each 40 feet in diameter and weighing 500,000 pounds, each flywheel housed in a 50 foot long concrete reinforced trench oriented in a longitudinal direction with regard to the Earth, and each flywheel suspended by wheels on railroad type tracks. The operation would begin with the two flywheels at opposite ends of their trenches (the trenches allow for the movement of the Earth under each flywheel.) The flywheel that was at the end that would allow for movement of the Earth under it is rotated by and outside force until the rotation was sufficient to cause the Earth to move under it and this movement sufficient to maintain and increase the rotations on the flywheel by transmission devices to convert the horizontal motion of the flywheel into rotational speed on the flywheel (this
also increases the resistance to the Earth's motion resulting in an advantage regarding power output.) The flywheel is allowed to travel to the end of its trench by this means. At the end of the trench the rotational speed of the flywheel is used to tow the second flywheel to its position where it can move as it resists the Earth's rotational (and orbital) forces. The rotational forces of the first flywheel then start the second flywheel in rotation, and the second flywheel continues to the point of farthest travel where it then cycles the first flywheel assembly back to its original starting position and begins the rotations of the flywheel. The cycles continue in this manner. A weight system may also be employed to obtain a constant output (similar to the weights on a coo-coo clock.)
